I have been conducting searches in Japan and throughout Asia since the late 1980s. My speciality is very much focused on challenging searches where clients are in need of a dedicated, informed and sensitive approach to find genuinely superior candidates. I always ensure I have a complete understanding not only of the client’s needs but also what they have to offer in terms of career development and working environment. When I understand a potential candidate not only in terms of skills and other attributes but also in terms of goals and ambitions I am able to bring to their attention and arouse their interest in positions they may not have considered at first glance. I serve my clients by fully understanding my potential candidates.

My area of focus has been on senior positions across all areas of finance particularly Research, Investment Banking, Asset Management, Insurance and Professional Services. In recent years my experience and expertise has broadened to include C-level assignments across various industries. I have also successfully completed important projects in the area of Government and Nonprofit organisations

I have a BSc in Psychology from City St. George, University of London. I have previously worked in Japan at a senior level with Russell Reynolds Associates, and was the Japan branch manager for Sheffield Haworth Ltd. For most of my career, however, I have run my own business. My own company was ranked as the overall #1 best executive search firm in Japan for Financial Services in the annual Asiamoney Headhunters’ Poll. As an individual I have been ranked the overall best individual search consultant in Japan as well as, on various occasions, the leader in the following categories: investment banking, corporate finance, M&A, ECM, buy side, hedge funds, private equity, private banking, cash equities and derivatives and structured products.
