Simon and John discuss preparation for the interview process by creating a job description and making sure that the manager has all the information at his/her disposal before meeting with candidates. The discussion then moved to holding the interview itself, how interviewers can be inconsistent in terms of the questions that they ask and why it’s important to not let the hiring manager talk for the majority of the interview.
In the last part of the podcast, they discussed how to engage the candidates during the interview process itself and how following up on the interview is crucial to hiring the candidate you want.
