My Expertise

I entered my journey in executive search in 2010, I joined a Tokyo based- boutique headhunting firm, specializing in both retained and contingent searches, with a primary focus on the FMCG sector. With 13 years of experience in the consumer industry, successfully led searches across functions for global manufacturers. I have experience helping new companies entering to Japan as well as to partnering with global prominent multinational company operating in Japan within the consumer -facing and service related sector.

Area of Focus

My main focus has primarily centered on conducting high-level and hard-to-fill searches for senior and C-suite leadership positions across a wide spectrum Consumer Markets encompassing FMCG, Cosmetics/Beauty, Fashion/Retail/Luxury, Electronics Appliances, Media & Entertainment, Digital/E-commerce and Durable Goods. My client`s portfolio spans a diverse range, from publicly traded to privately held firms, and from growth-focuses to turnaround-oriented solutions. I have a strong track record of successfully conducting numerous discreet, exclusive and retained searches for startups, as well as mid-sized and large multinational companies operating in Japan.

My Background

Born and raised in Bhutan, I later moved to the US for university. Having lived and worked in Japan for the past 16 years, before joining AGP as Managing Consultant for Consumer Markets & Professional Services, I held the position of Head of Consumer Business at Experis Executive K.K, a Manpower Group subsidiary. I established the Consumer Business division at Experis Executive from its inception, overseeing the recruitment and training of new consultants , and dedicating over eight years to the organization.

I graduated with a BA in Business Administration, major in Marketing & International Business Communication, from Charles Lundquist College of Business, University of Oregon. USA.

In my spare time, I spend time with my family and enjoy with my two young children. I also enjoy practicing Kyudo ( Archery), hiking and camping, and snowboarding during winter season.
